English Club on Tuesday 13th with French guests before Bastille Day

The monthly EU English Club meeting is held at the Cafe Wakakusa,

Konichiwa Minasan,

My name is Thomas Devanne.
I am a 36 years old.
I live in Bordeaux (France)
where I work as a research engineer (in the chemistry field).
For me, this year is very unique
as I am on a special holyday time (a sabbatical year).
I chose to use this personal time to travel
around the world for 10 months.
It is now almost five months I left France.
I crossed north India and Nepal, South Korea,
and traveled from Hong Kong to Bangkok.
I will visit your country from the 5th to the 22nd of July.
That will be my last step in Asia before moving to South America.
My plan is to go from Kyoto to Tokyo, visiting also Nara
and maybe climbing the FujiSan.
I really look forward discovering your country and culture.
So far, I do not know a lot about Japan.
All I know come from my readings
(especially books from Haruki Murakami)
and some discussions with the wife of one of my good friend, Yuki
(a Japanese woman who now lives with his French husband
and their son Ken in Tours, France).
I am a single, non smoking traveler.
I would really appreciate
if you would agree to share some moments with me.
